Adjacent to The Berkshires and situated close to the hilltop of an Upstate New York Estate, an existing double barn, previously used for landscaping equipment, was expanded and converted into a pool house with amenity & support spaces. The project's scope repurposed the double barn into a lounge, pantry, full bath, and dressing room. A connector was designed to bridge the amenity spaces to the indoor pool. This connector not only provides circulation to and from the pool but also conceals the mechanical and pool equipment systems. The pool house addition was constructed with board form concrete walls and is partially embedded into the hillside of the property.
